Facebook Group Community Rules

 

This Facebook community was created as a space to share and learn all about how to eat an affordable, delicious, healthy plant-based diet. 

This Facebook group is a place to get support on your plant-based journey.  

We want to create and maintain a supportive environment for all members, so that is why these rules are so important.

The Rules:

By being a part of this community you are agreeing to these rules listed below.

  1. Don't be an asshole.  As Admins, we have undergone extensive training in asshole detection.  It will not be tolerated and could result in removal from this group if you choose to partake in asshole-like behavior.  ex. intolerance, disrespectful
  2. No health shaming.  Plant-based food can be healthy and unhealthy.  Newbies tend to eat more familiar transitional foods that tend to be processed and less healthy.  Seasoned vegans tend to eat a more whole food plant-based diet.  Seasoned vegans, we've all been there, so please be mindful of and respectful of where each member is in their journey.  Bashing instead of supporting will not be tolerated. It will put you in the asshole zone.
  3. Plant-based food only.  This group is all about plant-based food and connecting with like-minded individuals in a supportive environment.  Please don't post recipes or contents that are not 100% plant-based.
  4. Respect others motivations.  The reasons for someone wanting to eat a plant-based diet vary.  Some are Vegans and are in it for ethical reasons (animal welfare), some are in it for health reasons, some are in it for the environment.  Respect others reasons for wanting to go on this journey.  In the end, eating a plant-based diet is a benefit to all these causes.  Going back to rule #1....just don't be an asshole.    

 

To get the most out of this group, share your thoughts and experiences because they can be valuable to others.  Contrary to what a lot of vegans say, it is not super easy to eat plant-based when just starting out and it can be difficult if not clever about it.  With the right guidance, support, and tools, it won't take you long to get the hang of it.  It IS easy when you get to that point.  Hand to heart...promise!
