Peach Jam

 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • Peaches - 6
  • Sugar - 1 1/2 cups
  • Lemon Juice (fresh) - 1 1/2 tbsp

 
INSTRUCTIONS

 

Peel Peaches - easy peasy

  • Fill a large bowl with ice cold water, set aside
  • Bring a pot of water to a boil, add peaches. Boil peaches for 1 minute then remove and add to cold water to cool
  • Peel peaches by hand. Skins should slide right off.
  • Remove pits and chop peaches into small chunks 

 

Jam 

  • Remove pits and chop peaches into small chunks 
  • Add peaches, sugar and fresh lemon juice to medium sauce pan
  • Cook on medium heat 
  • Use a potato masher or spoon to breakdown peaches as they cook. How much depends on how chunky you like your jam
  • The jam will thicken as it cooks. after about 20 minutes, remove from heat and add to ball jar or other glass container of your choice. Let cool then refrigerate.
  • The jam will continue to thicken as it cools. 
  • Enjoy!
